First Visit

Your initial appointment usually will consist of a comprehensive examination, periodontal (gum) evaluation, prophylaxis, full series of x-rays, and intra-oral photos.  Afterwards the doctor and hygienist will discuss their findings with you.  You will have the opportunity to have your questions answered, and you will leave with a clearly outlined treatment plan.

Please assist us by providing the following information when you make your initial appointment:

  • Any x-rays taken by a previous dentist, if applicable.
  • If you have a nightguard or a retainer
  • If you have dental insurance. This will save time and allow us to help you process any claims.

IMPORTANT: All patients under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Please alert the office if you have a medical condition that may be of concern prior to treatment (i.e., diabetes, high blood pressure, artificial heart valves and joints, rheumatic fever, etc.) or if you are currently taking any medication (i.e., heart medications, aspirin, anticoagulant therapy, etc.).

X-Rays

If your dentist or physician has taken x-rays that are less than a year old, you may request that they email them to our office at [email protected] If additional x-rays are necessary, they will be taken at our facility.
